| | بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمـَنِ الرَّحِيمِ |

শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু। |

| হা-মীম। | |
| HâMîm. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur’ân, and none but Allâh (Alone) knows their meanings]. | |
| | | |
| | وَالْكِتَابِ الْمُبِينِ | (2 |
| শপথ সুস্পষ্ট কিতাবের, | |
| By the manifest Book (that makes things clear, i.e. this Qur’ân). | |
| | | |
| | إِنَّا جَعَلْنَاهُ قُرْآنًا عَرَبِيًّا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ | (3 |
| আমি একে করেছি কোরআন, আরবী ভাষায়, যাতে তোমরা বুঝ। | |
| We verily, have made it a Qur’ân in Arabic, that you may be able to understand (its meanings and its admonitions). | |
| | | |
| | وَإِنَّهُ فِي أُمِّ الْكِتَابِ لَدَيْنَا لَعَلِيٌّ حَكِيمٌ | (4 |
| নিশ্চয় এ কোরআন আমার কাছে সমুন্নত অটল রয়েছে লওহে মাহফুযে। | |
| And Verily, it (this Qur’ân) is in the Mother of the Book (i.e. Al-Lauh Al-Mahfûz), before Us, indeed Exalted, full of Wisdom. | |

| | أَفَنَضْرِبُ عَنكُمُ الذِّكْرَ صَفْحًا أَن كُنتُمْ قَوْمًا مُّسْرِفِينَ | (5 |
| তোমরা সীমাতিক্রমকারী সম্প্রদায়-এ কারণে কি আমি তোমাদের কাছ থেকে কোরআন প্রত্যাহার করে নেব? | |
| Shall We then (warn you not and) take away the Reminder (this Qur’ân) from you, because you are a people Musrifûn. | |
| | | |
| | وَكَمْ أَرْسَلْنَا مِن نَّبِيٍّ فِي الْأَوَّلِينَ | (6 |
| পূর্ববর্তী লোকদের কাছে আমি অনেক রসূলই প্রেরণ করেছি। | |
| And how many a Prophet have We sent amongst the men of old. | |
| | | |
| | وَمَا يَأْتِيهِم مِّن نَّبِيٍّ إِلَّا كَانُوا بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِؤُون | (7 |
| যখনই তাদের কাছে কোন রসূল আগমন করেছেন, তখনই তারা তাঁর সাথে ঠাট্টা-বিদ্রুপ করেছে। | |
| And never came there a Prophet to them but they used to mock at him. | |
| | | |
| | فَأَهْلَكْنَا أَشَدَّ مِنْهُم بَطْشًا وَمَضَى مَثَلُ الْأَوَّلِينَ | (8 |
| সুতরাং আমি তাদের চেয়ে অধিক শক্তি সম্পন্নদেরকে ধ্বংস করে দিয়েছি। পূর্ববর্তীদের এ ঘটনা অতীত হয়ে গেছে। | |
| Then We destroyed men stronger (in power) than these, and the example of the ancients has passed away (before them). | |

| | وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُم مَّنْ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ لَيَقُولُنَّ خَلَقَهُنَّ الْعَزِيزُ الْعَلِيمُ | (9 |
| আপনি
যদি তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞাসা করেন কে নভোমন্ডল ও ভূ-মন্ডল সৃষ্টি করেছে? তারা
অবশ্যই বলবে, এগুলো সৃষ্টি করেছেন পরাক্রমশালী সর্বজ্ঞ আল্লাহ। | |
| And
indeed if you ask them, ”Who has created the heavens and the earth?”
They will surely say: ”The All-Mighty, the All-Knower created them.” | |
| | | |
| | الَّذِي جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الْأَرْضَ مَهْدًا وَجَعَلَ لَكُمْ فِيهَا سُبُلًا لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ | (10 |
| যিনি তোমাদের জন্যে পৃথিবীকে করেছেন বিছানা এবং তাতে তোমাদের জন্যে করেছেন পথ, যাতে তোমরা গন্তব্যস্থলে পৌঁছতে পার। | |
| Who has made for you the earth like a bed, and has made for you roads therein, in order that you may find your way, | |
| | | |
| | وَالَّذِي نَزَّلَ مِنَ السَّمَاء مَاء بِقَدَرٍ فَأَنشَرْنَا بِهِ بَلْدَةً مَّيْتًا كَذَلِكَ تُخْرَجُونَ | (11 |
| এবং যিনি আকাশ থেকে পানি বর্ষণ করেছেন পরিমিত। আতঃপর তদ্দ্বারা আমি মৃত ভূ-ভাগকে পুনরুজ্জীবিত করেছি। তোমরা এমনিভাবে উত্থিত হবে। | |
| And
Who sends down water (rain) from the sky in due measure. Then We revive
a dead land therewith, and even so you will be brought forth (from the
dead), | |
| | | |
| | وَالَّذِي خَلَقَ الْأَزْوَاجَ كُلَّهَا وَجَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنَ الْفُلْكِ وَالْأَنْعَامِ مَا تَرْكَبُونَ | (12 |
| এবং যিনি সবকিছুর যুগল সৃষ্টি করেছেন এবং নৌকা ও চতুস্পদ জন্তুকে তোমাদের জন্যে যানবাহনে পরিণত করেছেন, | |
| And Who has created all the pairs and has appointed for you ships and cattle on which you ride, | |
| | | |
| | لِتَسْتَوُوا
عَلَى ظُهُورِهِ ثُمَّ تَذْكُرُوا نِعْمَةَ رَبِّكُمْ إِذَا اسْتَوَيْتُمْ
عَلَيْهِ وَتَقُولُوا سُبْحانَ الَّذِي سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا
لَهُ مُقْرِنِينَ | (13 |
| যাতে
তোমরা তাদের পিঠের উপর আরোহণ কর। অতঃপর তোমাদের পালনকর্তার নেয়ামত
স্মরণ কর এবং বল পবিত্র তিনি, যিনি এদেরকে আমাদের বশীভূত করে দিয়েছেন এবং
আমরা এদেরকে বশীভূত করতে সক্ষম ছিলাম না। | |
| In
order that you may mount firmly on their backs, and then may remember
the Favour of your Lord when you mount thereon, and say: ”Glory to Him
who has subjected this to us, and we could never have it (by our
efforts).” | |
| | | |
| | وَإِنَّا إِلَى رَبِّنَا لَمُنقَلِبُونَ | (14 |
| আমরা অবশ্যই আমাদের পালনকর্তার দিকে ফিরে যাব। | |
| And verily, to Our Lord we indeed are to return! | |
| | | |
| | وَجَعَلُوا لَهُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ جُزْءًا إِنَّ الْإِنسَانَ لَكَفُورٌ مُّبِينٌ | (15 |
| তারা আল্লাহর বান্দাদের মধ্য থেকে আল্লাহর অংশ স্থির করেছে। বাস্তবিক মানুষ স্পষ্ট অকৃতজ্ঞ। | |
| Yet
they assign to some of His slaves a share with Him (by pretending that
He has children, and considering them as equals or co-partners in
worship with Him). Verily, man is indeed a manifest ingrate! | |
