70) সূরা আল মা’আরিজ (মক্কায় অবতীর্ণ), আয়াত সংখ্যা 44

	بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمـَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
	শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু।
	Ayahs:   | 1-15 | 16-30 | 31-44 |
	سَأَلَ سَائِلٌ بِعَذَابٍ وَاقِعٍ	(1
	একব্যক্তি চাইল, সেই আযাব সংঘটিত হোক যা অবধারিত-
	A questioner asked concerning a torment about to befall
	لِّلْكَافِرينَ لَيْسَ لَهُ دَافِعٌ	(2
	কাফেরদের জন্যে, যার প্রতিরোধকারী কেউ নেই।
	Upon the disbelievers, which none can avert,
	مِّنَ اللَّهِ ذِي الْمَعَارِجِ	(3
	তা আসবে আল্লাহ তা’আলার পক্ষ থেকে, যিনি সমুন্নত মর্তবার অধিকারী।
	From Allâh, the Lord of the ways of ascent.
	تَعْرُجُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَالرُّوحُ إِلَيْهِ فِي يَوْمٍ كَانَ مِقْدَارُهُ خَمْسِينَ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ	(4
	ফেরেশতাগণ এবং রূহ আল্লাহ তা’আলার দিকে উর্ধ্বগামী হয় এমন একদিনে, যার পরিমাণ পঞ্চাশ হাজার বছর।
	The angels and the Rûh [Jibrael (Gabriel)] ascend to Him in a Day the measure whereof is fifty thousand years,
	فَاصْبِرْ صَبْرًا جَمِيلًا	(5
	অতএব, আপনি উত্তম সবর করুন।
	So be patient (O Muhammad SAW ), with a good patience.
	إِنَّهُمْ يَرَوْنَهُ بَعِيدًا	(6
	তারা এই আযাবকে সুদূরপরাহত মনে করে,
	Verily! They see it (the torment) afar off,
	وَنَرَاهُ قَرِيبًا	(7
	আর আমি একে আসন্ন দেখছি।
	But We see it (quite) near.
	يَوْمَ تَكُونُ السَّمَاء كَالْمُهْلِ	(8
	সেদিন আকাশ হবে গলিত তামার মত।
	The Day that the sky will be like the boiling filth of oil, (or molten copper or silver or lead, etc.).
	وَتَكُونُ الْجِبَالُ كَالْعِهْنِ	(9
	এবং পর্বতসমূহ হবে রঙ্গীন পশমের মত,
	And the mountains will be like flakes of wool,
	وَلَا يَسْأَلُ حَمِيمٌ حَمِيمًا	(10
	বন্ধু বন্ধুর খবর নিবে না।
	And no friend will ask of a friend,
	يُبَصَّرُونَهُمْ يَوَدُّ الْمُجْرِمُ لَوْ يَفْتَدِي مِنْ عَذَابِ يَوْمِئِذٍ بِبَنِيهِ	(11
	যদিও একে অপরকে দেখতে পাবে। সেদিন গোনাহগার ব্যক্তি পনস্বরূপ দিতে চাইবে তার সন্তান-সন্ততিকে,
	Though they shall be made to see one another [(i.e. on the Day of Resurrection), there will be none but see his father, children and relatives, but he will neither speak to them nor will ask them for any help)], - the Mujrim, (criminal, sinner, disbeliever, etc.) would desire to ransom himself from the punishment of that Day by his children.
	وَصَاحِبَتِهِ وَأَخِيهِ	(12
	তার স্ত্রীকে, তার ভ্রাতাকে,
	And his wife and his brother,
	وَفَصِيلَتِهِ الَّتِي تُؤْويهِ	(13
	তার গোষ্ঠীকে, যারা তাকে আশ্রয় দিত।
	And his kindred who sheltered him,
	وَمَن فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا ثُمَّ يُنجِيهِ	(14
	এবং পৃথিবীর সবকিছুকে, অতঃপর নিজেকে রক্ষা করতে চাইবে।
	And all that are in the earth, so that it might save him .
	كَلَّا إِنَّهَا لَظَى	(15
	কখনই নয়। নিশ্চয় এটা লেলিহান অগ্নি।
	By no means! Verily, it will be the Fire of Hell!
